Nelli Uteyeva
, a native of Kazakhstan, is an architect and designer. Collectors, museums and galleries in Central Asia know her well for her contacts in the region's art world and her ability to build collections and organize exhibitions. Her last work before joining her husband in America was a major new gallery in Kazakhstan, "Art Alma Ata."






SERVICES:
Nelli now consults on design for the family’s business partnership, Signal Associates LP and offers editorial and design services for business, agencies, and individuals who need editing, writing and design services in Russian.  She is also setting up her studio on Mt. Tom to design and produce jewelry.

FAMILY


Nelli Uteyeva and her husband Wallace Kaufman live with their son Girey live on the slopes of Mt. Tom where they tend their 200 acre forest.  Girey is a primary school student who plays piano and basketball, enjoys his new treehouse, and his niece Masha.  Nelli’s daughter Ulyana manages the family partnership, Signal Associates, her husband Sergey, and their daughter Maria Francisca “Masha” Seryankina.  Sergey has a law diploma from Moscow, has been quality control supervisor and editor for a large Turkish-Kazakhstani publishing firm, and is rapidly learning all phases of remodeling and construction.  Wallace's daughter, Dr. Sylvan Ramsey Kaufman, is Conservation Curator at the Adkins Arboretum on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.  She has a Ph.D. in ecology from Rutgers and specializes in the study of invasive species.
